Sherbourne Preschool provides 3 and 4 year old funded kindergarten and extended care programs for preschool children. All programs are led by qualified early childhood teachers and educators.
Our programs include:
4 yr old kinder - 15 hrs/week
3 yr old kinder - 10.5 hrs/week
Extended care program (Educare) on Mondays and Fridays
Our program is underpinned by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), the National Quality Standards (NQS) and our Philosophy.We aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment focusing on the development of the whole child. Activities are planned to promote learning in all developmental domains – social, emotional cognitive, language and physical.It's play-based and interest-basedAs play is considered to be one of the most important ways a child can learn about their world. Ideas for activities and events are sourced from the children’s interest. This approach is due to the belief that children learn more if they are interested in what they are learning and have input into the direction of their learning. The program will change from year to year, depending on the interests and needs of the group.
