We aim to provide a warm and caring environment for each child and their families; in accordance within the guidelines of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework – Belonging, Being and Becoming.
IN RESPECT TO CHILDREN:
We are inclusive and strive to succeed for all children; consideration is given to varying cultures, backgrounds and learning abilities.
We value children as competent and resourceful learners who are active contributors to their own learning and group outcomes.
We aim to foster personal growth in each child, encouraging them to develop confidence as they play independently or within a group setting.
We model, prompt and encourage children to develop the skill of co-operation, sharing, the expression of feelings and ideas; as we support children to demonstrate care as they listen to each other.
IN RESPECT TO FAMILIES:
We pride ourselves in providing a family focused environment; which entails ongoing open communication, as we encourage families to work collaboratively within the program.
IN RESPECT TO STAFF:
We aim to create a friendly working environment, valuing each educator and their individual attributes. Together we work as a caring, supportive team, continually striving to build upon our existing professional knowledge and skills.
IN RESPECT TO ENVIRONMENT:
We create a welcoming ‘home like’ environment for children, families and staff which celebrates the diversity within our community.
We provide a program which is stimulating, interesting and challenging. It encourages children to explore, solve problems, create and construct.
Our program evolves from the children’s interests as well as a balance of intentional and spontaneous learning experiences. Children learn best through play based experiences in which they have opportunities for active engagement. Learning opportunities may include but are not limited to; Maths, Literacy, Physical & Environmental Education, Music, Science and the Arts.
The play spaces provide opportunities for an appreciation and respect for the natural environment, promoting the children’s responsibility in being sustainable.
IN RESPECT TO THE COMMUNITY:
We see our kinder as part of the wider community where we build on relationships with local organisations, schools and council. We are a central link to information and support services.
The program provides children with opportunities to broaden their knowledge of their identity within the community.
