Sherbourne Preschool is a stand-alone, not-for-profit community preschool, led by our experienced and committed Director and Lead Teacher, Jo Barker and supported by our capable and dedicated staff team.
The centre is an Incorporated Association governed by our voluntary Committee of Management, elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. The committee works closely with staff to carry out its responsibilities as approved provider and employer.Being involved in the committee is a great opportunity to make an important contribution to Sherbourne Preschool's management and strategic direction, and to get to know parents, families and educators.
Committee of Management
Made up of parents, guardians and association members
Makes major management decisions about finances, service delivery and broad policies. The committee is not involved in day-to-day administration - this is handled by the Director and Fees Officer/Bookkeeper.
Meets monthly (meetings are open to all parents)

Our educational philosophy and approach is supported and promoted by Jo Barker (Manager & Lead Teacher) and Narelle Allen (3 year old teacher).
Enthusiastic and qualified kindergarten teachers who plan and implement quality experiences for both kindergarten groups, they are assisted by caring assistants who are an integral part of our early learning centre.
